When the Tower shows up in a spread, people flinch. Lightning, a crown falling, figures thrown from a burning building. It looks like disaster, and sometimes it is.
But over years of readings I've noticed what the Tower actually tends to describe: a structure that was already cracked finally giving way. A job that was hollow. A belief that kept you small. A relationship held together by habit.
The fall is painful. What comes after it is usually honest. You can't rebuild on a foundation you were pretending was fine.
So when I see the Tower now, I don't ask 'What will I lose?' I ask 'What have I been holding up that was never really holding me?'
